Go Green Not Roses Red This Valentine’s Day

Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, Why Not Go Green To Say I Love You? With the most romantic day of the year just around the corner sales of roses, chocolates, lingerie and anything remotely heart shaped will be soaring through the roof, but what if you’re keen to be green this Valentine’s Day? Well how about pushing the dozen red roses aside this year and choosing a personalised tree gift from Tree2mydoor.

Choose from a selection of home grown UK trees as a way to say I Love You. Crab Apple Tree, Hawthorn Tree, Wild Cherry Tree, Oak Tree, Lemon Tree, Orange Tree, Olive Tree or even a Hazel Truffle Tree Grove! Prices are from £24.50, much less than a dozen red roses and they’ll last a lot longer – an ongoing sign of your love for each other (awww, pass the bucket!).

Of course if your partner is of the “give me red roses” persuasion and anything less than red roses may result in a less than loving day of romance you may want to play things a bit safer. We quite like the Love in the Bag and Sunshine in a Bag seed gifts. These are only £9.99 or £10.99 and consist of red wildflower seed gift of red Field Poppies and Corn Cockle and Meadow Buttercup, Commons St Johns Wort, Ladies Bedstraw and Corn Marigolds respectfully.

As well as Tree2MyDoor there’s a wide range of eco and green Valentine gifts on offer at Ethical Superstore who have kindly put together a Valentine’s Day gift guide.
