Climate Change Lets Sort it Here and Now with Oxfam

Leave the first response October 12, 2009 / Posted in Campaigns

Climate change costs lives. And right now, thousands of people are taking action to fight its devastating effects on the world’s poorest people. This October, Oxfam are asking all of their supporters to do one of three things: change what you wear, change what you do, or collect loose change.

All of the money raised through your change-themed fundraising efforts will be going to support their work with communities that are being affected by climate change. For example, if you can get 39 workmates to pay £2 to wear jeans to work, the money you’ll have raised could be used to enable a family to raise their home above flood levels.

If you would like to download their fundraising toolkit, or if you are looking for ideas, tips and inspiration, click here to visit the Oxfam website to find out more.

Oxfam would love to hear from you about your fundraising ideas, if you have any questions or would like to know more about their work, you can call them on 0300 200
1244 or e-mail events@oxfam.org.uk

Thank you for all of your support – together we can really give people hope for, a brighter future!
