World Water Day Is March 22nd!
Did you know that March 22nd is World Water Day? No? I’m not surprised! It’s not exactly well publicised in the press. Coping with Water Scarcity is the theme of this year’s event and there are events throughout the world to publicise the growing importance of preserving and managing water supplies. According to World Water Day, “by 2025, 1 800 million people will be living in countries or regions with absolute water scarcity, and two-thirds of the world population could be under stress conditions”.
